How to Install a Flex PVC garden Hose on Kitchen Faucets?
Originally the supply lines for kitchen faucets were made of copper and quite cumbersome to work with, especially in tight spaces like underneath the kitchen sink. Luckily, flexible pvc garden hoses have replaced the copper supply lines of yesterday, which makes installing a new kitchen faucet a breeze. Flex lines come in either PVC or braided steel but PVC flex lines will eventually dry rot, making braided steel supply lines your ideal choice.

- Two flexible supply lines
- Wrench
- Teflon tape
- Tape measure
Turn off the main water valve in your home, preventing any accidental flooding if a pipe happens to break.
Measure the distance from your faucet to the shutoff valves on your wall. This measurement will determine the length of the supply line that you need to purchase.
Under the sink, locate the two inlets leading from the faucet, one for hot water and one for cold. Depending on the quality of your faucet, the pieces will be either copper, brass or PVC. Wrap the threads of one of the inlets with a strip of Teflon tape.
Thread the larger end of your supply line to the threaded taped inlet. You may need a wrench to tighten the ends properly.
Thread the other end of the supply line onto your shutoff valve. Tighten this end with a wrench to secure the pvc garden hose in place.
Repeat steps three and four for the remaining water inlet on your faucet.
Reopen the main water valve you closed when you first started the project.
