PE polyethylene:

Polyethylene odourless, non-toxic, feel like wax, has good low temperature resistance (the lowest temperature can reach 70 ~ 100 ℃), chemical stability is good, most of acid and alkali erosion (acid) with characteristics of oxidation resistance, temperature does not dissolve in solvents, small water imbibition, excellent electrical insulation properties; But polyethylene is sensitive to environmental stress (chemical and mechanical action), and it is very resistant to aging.

The properties of polyethylene vary from breed to breed, depending on the molecular structure and density.

Type of polyethylene:

(1) LDPE: low density polyethylene and high pressure polyethylene

(2) LLDPE: linear low-density polyethylene

(3) MDPE: medium density polyethylene and bimodal resin

(4) HDPE: high density polyethylene and low pressure polyethylene

(5) UHMWPE: ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene

PVC (PVC) :

Chemical and physical characteristics:

Rigid PVC is one of the most widely used plastics. PVC material is a kind of non-crystalline material.

PVC material is often used in the actual use of stabilizers, lubricants, auxiliary processing agents, color materials, anti-impact agents and other additives.

The PVC material has non-flammability, high strength, resistance to climate change and excellent geometric stability.

PVC has a strong resistance to oxidants, reductants and strong acids. However, it can be corroded by concentrated oxidizing acid such as concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, and is not suitable for contact with aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons.

The melting temperature of PVC is a very important technological parameter in the process of processing. If this parameter is improper, it will cause the problem of material decomposition.

The flow characteristics of PVC are quite poor and its process is very narrow. In particular, the large molecular weight of PVC material is more difficult to process (this material usually has to be lubricants to improve the flow characteristics), so it is usually used for small molecular weight of PVC material.

The shrinkage rate of PVC is quite low, generally 0.2~ 0.6%.

Typical use: water supply pipe, household pipe, housing wallboard, commercial machine shell, electronic packaging, medical device, food packaging, etc.

The PVC hose adopts the TS (adhesive) interface, and the adhesive used is difficult to guarantee non-toxic, and the adhesive may contain material beneficial to the microbe, which will affect the taste and water quality of the water. Lead is one of the biggest killers of humans, and the lead in PVC is a major threat to people’s health. Currently, plastic containing lead salt has been banned by all countries in the world. It appears that the use of leaded PVC hoses is the trend.

PE PE to water pipe:

a. good heat resistance performance, low temperature brittle temperature is very low, can be used within the range – 75 ℃ to 40 ℃, winter embrittlement pipe installation will not occur Corrosion resistance: polyethylene as inert material, resistant to various chemical medium erosion, corrosion protection is not required. There will be no decay, rust and corrosion.

b.Good flexibility: breaking elongation rate of more than 800%, local vibration will not cause all tubes to vibrate, strong earthquake resistance.

c.Strong compression strength: because of the high crystallinity of HDPE, strength and hardness increase. It is tightly welded and can withstand internal pressure. It is widely used in water supply and gas pressure piping.

d.The sanitation is non-toxic, the inside does not breed bacteria, does not cause the water quality secondary pollution, thoroughly solved the pipe pollution water source defect.

e.Good circulation ability: smooth inner wall, small friction coefficient, small fluid resistance, small loss of water head, no scaling, pressure loss of pipeline and water transmission and water consumption, economic advantages are obvious.

f.Long service life: PE black pipe contains about 2.5% carbon black. Strong uv radiation capability can be stored or used in open air. The service life is 50 years.
